USA Swimming Rulebook
Stroke and Turn References & Videos
-The USA swimming rules (this is the mini rulebook):
The USA swimming situations and resolutions document - this is a fantastic resource that describes hypotheticals and discusses whether what the judge observed should be called as an infraction. Please note that because our backstroke rule differs from the USA rule, any of the situations that discuss delayed initiation of arm pull or delayed initiation of turning motion do not apply for our league:
The USA swimming training videos - these are very short videos that discuss the rules and show "good" and "bad" examples of some common stroke infractions. I will note - these are all about 10 years old and a couple of the rules have changed since they were made, but they are still a great resource. (Off the top of my head - you can now resubmerge completely at the touch during backstroke; arms/legs do not need to be in same horizontal plane in BR anymore - I think the old rules were still in effect when these videos were made. Otherwise I think they should be good.)
